Anne has more than 25 years of experience in investment management. Most recently she was with PIMCO, where she was the first active equity portfolio manager recruited. She managed the $4B Pathfinder Fund, a global value equity strategy. Prior to PIMCO, she worked for 10 years at the Mutual Series Group, part of Franklin Templeton Investments where she managed over $25B, running the Franklin Mutual Quest Fund from 2003 to 2009 and the Franklin Mutual Global Discovery Fund from 2005 to 2009. Anne began her career as an analyst covering European equities at Perry Capital. She graduated from the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po) with a BA and received an MBA from Columbia University. Anne is a CFA Charterholder.
Jake has 10 years of experience in investment management. He started his career at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, working as an analyst on their International Small Cap Value fund. He then worked at Odey Asset Management as a sector analyst specialising in industrials and oil services. He has also worked at Globalvest Asset Management, Brazil. Jake is a CFA Charterholder and holds a Master of Arts from Edinburgh University.
Mark has 7 years of working experience. He was most recently at Sanford Bernstein as a research analyst covering the European banking sector. Prior to this he worked at Deloitte, where he was involved in a variety of corporate finance and advisory projects covering the European banking sector. Mark is a CFA Charterholder and received First Class Honours in his Bachelor of Arts degree from Loughborough University.
Tom has 6 years of working experience. He was most recently at Sanford Bernstein as a research analyst covering the European food retail sector. Prior to this he worked at PwC in the audit of the European banking sector. Tom is a CFA Charterholder and chartered accountant. He holds a first class degree in chemistry from Oxford University.
Nick has over 20 years of experience in investment management. Before joining Velanne in August 2018, he was Chief Operating Officer at Marathon Asset Management where he worked for 12 years leading Operations, IT, Risk, Legal and Human Resources. Prior to working at Marathon Nick spent 5 years at Schroders Plc. working as an internal consultant within the front office, and he started his career with Ernst & Young as a trainee management consultant. Nick received a BA with Honours in Modern Languages from the University of Exeter, and has completed the Accelerated Development Programme with the Chicago Booth Business School. He is a passed finalist of the Chartered Institute of Management Accounting (CIMA).
John has worked in investment management consultant relations and institutional sales for nearly 30 years. Most recently he was Head of Global Consultant Relations at Nuveen Investments, a multi-affiliate investment firm. He joined Nuveen from Epoch Investment Partners, a global equity manager, where he served as Managing Director of Consultant Relations. He has also worked in Consultant Relations at long-only and alternatives firms including TD Asset Management, BNY Mellon Asset Management, and Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. John began his investment career in Institutional Sales at Salomon Brothers Inc. He earned a BA with Honors in Economics and Government from Manhattan College.
